Only way to reset this is completely factory resetting the iOS device (and also checking iCloud backups and iCloud keychain for other traces that might be left) They can store identifying device data and account info, which can be read when the same app (or others that related to developer) reinstalled. (BTW instagram and whatsapp store data on iCloud keychain) There is no way to reset advertising ID on iOS14 but it is not related to that.įound out apps can store data on local keychain and iOS does not delete it even if it doesn’t sync it to iCloud. I checked the iCloud storage and app was not there, looked the iCloud keychain which is synced to my Mac and there is no related entry. After sometime, I downloaded the app again and when I opened it I found out that I automatically signed in to the same account (without asking for password), and device identifier is kept.Īt first I thought that the app keeps data on iCloud sync or iCloud keychain. I had signed in to 9gag app and uninstalled it. Today I found out that even if you completely uninstall an app on iOS14, it can still keep identifying data.
